O Boishakh, I call on you

Dust away all that’s dying with your ascetic breath

Let the year’s dross go.

Let go old memories, let go forgotten melodies,

Let mists of the eye thin far away into dissolution.

Let weariness be erased, infirmity cease,

Hallowed be the Earth to bathe in your fire

Please join us in celebrating Bengali New Year (পহেলা বৈশাখ ১৪২৯) on April 23, 2022.  We are very excited to have an in-person event after a long two years! We hope to see all of you with your family and friends.  The event will start at 4pm with some snacks, adda, followed by a general body meeting (GBM) to discuss BAM finances and future plans. We will have a cultural program starting at 6pm, followed by dinner.

Please purchase your ticket by April 16, 2022, so that we can arrange for the correct amount of food.

If anyone wants to perform in the cultural program, please contact arka.bakshi@gmail.com by April 16, 2022.

Ticket price:

Due to inflation and increased church rental fee, we have increased the ticket price by $5/person compared to the 2019 prices. Non-members pay $5 extra for each event at BAM, or you can purchase a yearly membership with $15 (for the whole family) or $7 (for a single person) and enjoy all BAM events at the members rate. Note all yearly memberships end on March 31, so everyone has to renew their membership by then, in order to get the membership rate. To minimize transaction at the door, we request you to pay the membership dues with your ticket price.
